For: All artists (NA, RA, EA, LM) who want to leave Collabhouse or stop receiving emails You'll need: Access to your account (for deletion) or the email link (for unsubscribing) Time: 2–5 minutes

This article covers two related but different things: turning off marketing emails (reversible, takes seconds) and deleting your account altogether (permanent, takes up to 48 hours and goes through our support team).

Quick answer

To stop marketing emails, scroll to the bottom of any Collabhouse email and tap Unsubscribe — it works with one click. To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and tap Request deletion; our support team processes the request within 48 hours.

Unsubscribe from emails

You have two ways to control what lands in your inbox:

  • Per-email unsubscribe — Every marketing email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Tap it and confirm. You stop getting that type of email immediately. (Account-critical emails — receipts, password resets, release status changes — are not affected.)

  • Notification preferences — In Settings → Notifications, you can fine-tune which email categories you receive (community, releases, earnings, marketing). Use this if you want to stay subscribed to some categories but not others.

Unsubscribe link for fan emails

If you've been receiving fan-update emails from an artist on Collabhouse, the Unsubscribe link in those emails only unsubscribes you from that artist's mailings — not from Collabhouse itself.

Delete your account

Account deletion is permanent. Once processed, we remove your profile, releases, library files, and personal data. Your name disappears from credits where you're the only owner; on collaborative releases, your share is handled per the agreement on that release.

Before you delete

  • Withdraw any wallet balance. Cleared funds in your Wallet can be paid out — see article 3.5. After deletion, unpaid balances are forfeited.

  • Cancel your subscription first if you're on a paid plan. Otherwise you'll keep being billed until the request is processed. See article 4.3.

  • Export anything you want to keep — track files from your Library, royalty statements, ID3 metadata. There's no "download my account" button yet.

  • Tell your collaborators, especially on active releases or pending royalty splits.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Settings → Account.

  2. Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom.

  3. Tap Request deletion.

  4. Confirm in the dialog. You'll see "Our support team will contact you within 48 hours."

  5. Watch your email — support will reach out, walk through any outstanding items (active releases, wallet balance, splits in flight), then process the deletion.

Why it's a request, not a button

Most accounts have something attached that we need to wind down cleanly: a live release on Spotify, a pending split with a collaborator, a wallet balance, an active subscription. A one-click delete would orphan that data. The 48-hour review window lets us close everything properly so collaborators and platforms don't see broken records.

Cancellation feedback

If you cancel a subscription (not delete your account) we may email you a one-time feedback link asking why. It's optional and anonymous from your perspective — answers go to our product team to improve the plans.

Common problems

  • The unsubscribe link says it's invalid or expired — That can happen if the link's been clicked before or is very old. Open Settings → Notifications in the app and adjust your preferences there.

  • I deleted my account but I'm still getting emails — There's a short tail (up to 72 hours) while pending emails finish queuing. After that, contact support if it continues.

  • I requested deletion by mistake — Reply to the support email asking to cancel the request. As long as we haven't processed it, your account is still intact.

  • I want to keep my account but stop everything — Cancel your subscription, turn off all notification categories, and turn off Profile visibility in Settings → Account. Your data stays in place, dormant.
