Cancelling your subscription ends billing and reduces what you can do inside Collabhouse — but it does not delete your account, your releases, or your earnings. This article spells out what changes and what stays.

Quick answer

When you cancel, you keep paid features until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, your account drops to the free tier: you can still sign in, view your releases, view your wallet and earnings, and download invoices. Submitting new releases, running ads, joining the community, and other paid capabilities stop being available. Your music already on streaming platforms continues to be distributed — [TODO: confirm with product] whether new royalties continue to flow into your wallet after the paid plan ends.

What you keep after cancellation

  • Your account — Your login, profile, and settings remain.

  • Your existing releases — Already published releases stay where they are. You can still view them inside Collabhouse.

  • Your wallet and earnings history — You can view balances, statements, and past payouts. Existing payout methods stay connected.

  • Your library — Tracks, images, videos, and notes you uploaded remain stored on your account, even if you can't add new ones until you upgrade again.

  • Your splits — Splits you previously set up with collaborators continue to apply to royalties from already-published releases.

  • Your invoices — Past invoices remain downloadable from the billing portal.

What stops working

When the paid period ends, you lose the capabilities your former plan unlocked. In practice:

  • Submitting new releases stops if your former plan was the one that included distribution. Existing releases are not pulled from streaming platforms.

  • Editing certain release fields may be restricted again.

  • Running ad campaigns and accessing Engage stop. Running campaigns are paused at the ad platform level [TODO: confirm with product how active campaigns are handled at cancellation].

  • Joining the community, groups, and messaging other artists pauses until you re-subscribe.

  • Advanced analytics, audience insights, and opportunities are no longer visible.

  • AI Manager AI may become limited [TODO: confirm with product which AI Manager capabilities remain on free].

  • Perks are no longer redeemable.

Why it works this way

We never want cancellation to feel like losing your work. Your music, your money, and your collaborator relationships belong to you, not to the plan you're on. The free tier acts as a "read-mostly" view of everything you've built, so you can always come back and pick up where you left off.

If you want to remove your data entirely — not just cancel billing — that's a separate flow, covered in article 11.4.

Common problems

  • I cancelled and lost access immediately — That shouldn't happen unless your payment failed before the period ended. Check the Subscription page; if it says "active until <date>", you still have access.

  • My collaborators can't see a shared file anymore — Library sharing requires an active plan. Re-upgrade or ask the collaborator to download what they need before your period ends.

  • My royalties seem to have stopped — [TODO: confirm with product] Royalties from already-distributed music typically continue to be collected and shown in your wallet. If you see a gap, contact support.

  • I want to come back later — Just open the Subscription page and pick a plan again. Your account, releases, wallet, and library are still there.
