For: All artists (NA, RA, EA, LM) — anyone who needs to update their basic account details You'll need: Access to your current email inbox (for email changes) and your current password (for password changes) Time: 2–5 minutes

This article walks you through the everyday account tweaks: changing the email address you sign in with, rotating your password, picking a timezone, and switching the app language.

Quick answer

Everything lives under Settings → Account. Email changes require confirmation from your inbox. Password changes ask for your current password as a check. Timezone is saved as soon as you tap Update. Language is a separate screen — open it and tap the language you want.

Step-by-step

Change your email

  1. Go to Settings and tap Account.

  2. In the Email address field, type the new address.

  3. Tap Update. You'll get a verification email at both your old and new addresses — open the new-address email and click the link to confirm.

  4. Until you confirm, you keep signing in with your old email.

Change your password

  1. In Settings → Account, tap Change password.

  2. Enter your current password (we check it before letting you change it).

  3. Pick a new password that's at least 8 characters and includes one uppercase letter and one number. The strength meter shows how you're doing.

  4. Re-type the new password to confirm, then tap Update.

Change your timezone

  1. In Settings → Account, open the Timezone dropdown.

  2. Pick the timezone you live or work in.

  3. Tap Update. We use this for scheduling messages and any time-based feature.

Change the app language

  1. From the sidebar (or Settings), open Language.

  2. Scroll the list — it shows each language in its own script plus your current-language name.

  3. Tap the language you want. The change applies straight away.

Why it works this way

Email changes go through your inbox because that address is your sign-in identity — if anyone could change it from inside the app, a stolen session could lock you out. Password changes ask for your current password for the same reason. Timezone is a soft preference and saves immediately. Language is a per-device preference and doesn't require confirmation.

Common problems

  • I didn't get the email confirmation link — Check your spam folder, then re-tap Update to resend. If it still doesn't arrive, the new address might already belong to another Collabhouse account.

  • "Current password is incorrect" — Double-check you're typing the password you currently sign in with, not the new one. If you've forgotten it, sign out and use Forgot password on the login screen.

  • The Update button is greyed out — You haven't changed the field yet, or what you typed isn't valid (e.g. an email without an @).

  • My language change didn't stick — Some text is still being translated. The language list shows everything we support; coverage improves with each release.
