For: Label managers (LM) building a team, and anyone (NA, RA, EA) who received an invitation link You'll need: The email of the person you're inviting, or the invite link you received Time: 2 minutes to send; 1 minute to accept
This covers receiving and accepting a team invitation, and points you to where invites are sent from.
Quick answer
If someone invited you, click the link in their email. You'll see the invitation details — the team, the email it's addressed to, and the role you'll have. Click Accept invitation, set a password if it's your first time, and you're in.
Step-by-step: accepting an invite
Open the invitation email and click the Accept invitation link.
The page opens with three pieces of information:
The email the invite was sent to
The role you'll have (e.g. Admin, Editor, Read-only)
A confirmation that the invite is still valid
If you don't have a Collabhouse account yet, the page asks you to create a password (minimum 6 characters) and confirm it. Otherwise it skips straight to step 5.
Click Accept invitation.
You're signed in and taken to the app. The team you joined now appears in your account.
If your invitation link doesn't work
"This invitation has expired" — invitations are time-limited. Ask the person who invited you to send a new one.
"This invitation has already been accepted / cancelled / declined" — the link has already been used or revoked. Ask for a fresh invite.
"Invitation not found" — the link is malformed or the invitation was deleted. Ask the sender to re-send.
Step-by-step: sending an invite
[TODO: confirm with product the exact in-app entry point for sending team invitations — Settings? A dedicated Team page? — and whether this is a label-only feature or available to all paid plans. The acceptance flow exists in the app, but the send-side surface needs grounding before this section is written in detail.]
Why it works this way
Team invitations are sent to a specific email address and tied to a specific role. That email has to match when you accept, so an invite can't be forwarded to someone else by mistake. The role decides what the new team member can do — for example, a read-only member can see your catalog but can't submit releases or move money.
Common problems
I didn't get the invitation email — check spam. If still missing, ask the sender to re-issue.
The invite went to the wrong email — invitations are bound to the address they were sent to. Ask the sender to cancel and re-send to the correct address.
I accepted, but I don't see the team's content — sign out and back in. Permissions refresh on a fresh session.
"Password must be at least 6 characters" — [TODO: confirm with product whether the team-invite password rule should match the main signup password rule (which is stronger).]
