This explains the two profiles Collabhouse keeps for you, why they exist, and which information lives where.
Quick answer
Your profile is the in-app version of you — used inside Collabhouse for messaging, community, and your account. Your artist page is the public URL you share with fans. Both pull from the same name, photo, and bio, but only your artist page is visible to the open internet, and only after you publish it.
What lives where
Your profile (the page you see when you click your avatar in the sidebar) shows:
Your artist name, avatar, header
Bio, genre, location
Social links
Followers and following count
Tracks you've pinned
Edit controls (only visible to you)
Your public artist page (the URL at your username) shows the same content to fans — plus blocks you set up in Manage page like events, merch, video embeds, links, and music drops. It does not show:
Your email address
Your subscription tier or billing
Your wallet, earnings, or payout method
Your messages or notifications
Your goals or onboarding answers
Any release that isn't published to streaming services yet
Step-by-step: see what fans see
From your Profile, switch the toggle at the top from Edit to Preview. This shows your profile the way it appears to a logged-in fan who follows you.
To see exactly what the open internet sees, open a private/incognito browser window and visit your artist page URL.
If the page returns "not found" in incognito, your artist page isn't published yet. Go to Manage page and turn publishing on.
Why it works this way
Public means public. Anything on your artist page is reachable by anyone with the link — including search engines. We deliberately keep money, settings, and conversations off it so you never have to think about whether something private leaked. The trade-off is that you have to consciously add things to your public page (in Manage page) rather than every field auto-appearing.
Common problems
A fan says my page is "not found" — your artist page isn't published. Open Manage page and turn publishing on.
My old bio is still showing on the public page — refresh; the public page caches briefly. If it persists past a few minutes.
I want to hide a specific track from my public page — open Manage page, find the music block, and hide the track from there.
I see fields on my profile I don't want public — they aren't. Only the items listed under "What lives where" above are exposed.
