For: Releasing artists (RA) and label managers (LM) You'll need: Fans collected through your public artist page, ads, or imports Time: 5 minutes
The Audience page is your fan database. Unlike Analytics (which counts plays), Audience tells you who your individual fans are, how to reach them, and how engaged they are.
Quick answer
Each row on Audience is one fan with a contact method, a location, and an engagement score (0–100) that summarises how actively they interact with your music and pages. Use the filters at the top to focus on a segment — for example, "everyone in Germany who hasn't been emailed in 30 days" — then act on that group (email, message, export).
Step-by-step
Open Audience from the sidebar.
Review the headline numbers at the top of the page (total fans, contactable fans, subscribed fans).
Use the filter chips to narrow down by:
Type — email contacts vs. SMS contacts.
Location — country and city.
Subscribed — opted in to receive messages.
Engagement — the 0–100 score.
Click the column headers to sort.
Select one or more fans to take action — message, export, or tag them.
The columns, defined
Contact — name and primary contact (email or phone).
Type — how you can reach this fan (email or SMS).
Location — country (with flag) and city, when known.
Subscribed — whether the fan has opted in to receive messages from you. Unsubscribed fans stay in your database for analytics but can't be contacted.
Engagement — a 0–100 score combining recent activity: page visits, message opens, clicks, and play behaviour. Higher is better.
Status — short label summarising where the fan is in your funnel (new, active, dormant).
How fans end up here
Fans appear in your Audience when they:
Sign up on your public artist page or a landing page you've shared.
Submit their contact through a campaign or contest you ran.
Are imported from a CSV you uploaded.
Are added manually.
Common problems
My fan list is empty — you haven't collected any contacts yet. Share your public artist page or run a campaign with a contact prompt.
A fan has no city or country — location is only known when the fan provided it or when we could infer it from their sign-up. It's optional.
An unsubscribed fan still shows up — that's intentional. They count toward your totals but you can't message them. Filter them out with the Subscribed chip.
Engagement score seems low — the score weighs recent activity heavily. A fan who was active a year ago will decay over time.
