For: Artists (NA, RA) and label managers (LM) wondering why certain briefs appear or stand out You'll need: A reasonably complete artist profile and at least one release or upload so we know what you do Time: 2 minutes to read; ongoing as you fill in your profile
Every artist sees the same catalogue of open Opportunities, but the order, tags, and surfacing depend on signals you've given us — your genres, your release history, and the categories you've engaged with before.
Quick answer
We don't gate Opportunities behind hidden eligibility checks — if a brief is open, you can apply. What we do is surface the ones most relevant to your sound and stage of career first, using tags from your profile and your release catalogue. The richer your profile, the better the match.
Step-by-step
Fill in your genres on your artist profile. Briefs are tagged with genres too, so this is the single biggest signal we use.
Keep your artist bio and public profile up to date. Some partners review profiles before reaching out for follow-ups.
Upload or release at least one track. Briefs aimed at "established releasing artists" surface more prominently once you have catalogue.
Use the category tabs on the Opportunities page (Label, Remix competition, Event, Sync, Other) to narrow to what you're actually interested in — we remember the categories you spend time in.
Open briefs that interest you, even if you don't apply. That tells us what you care about and improves future ordering.
Why it works this way
A great match is a two-way fit: the partner wants the right artist, and you want a brief you can actually win. Hard-gating ("you're not allowed to apply") would hide good chances from artists who don't fit the obvious mould — so instead we show everything and rank by relevance. That way a hip-hop artist still sees a sync brief that says "open to all genres", but their feed leads with the briefs that match their sound.
A few things we don't use: your follower counts on external platforms, your earnings, or your subscription tier (beyond whether your plan includes Opportunities at all). Matching is about creative fit, not commercial size.
