For: Releasing artists (RA) and label managers (LM) joining or running an artist group You'll need: A plan that includes Community Time: 5 minutes
Quick answer
Open Groups from the left sidebar. The My Groups tab shows groups you've already joined and any pending invitations. The All Groups tab shows public groups you can join with one tap. Each group has its own feed (for posts) and chat (for live conversation). Owners and admins can invite members, edit the group, and moderate posts.
Step-by-step
Joining a group
Open Groups from the sidebar.
Switch to the All Groups tab to see public groups, or check My Groups for invitations waiting on you.
Use the Search field to filter by name or description.
Tap a group card to open its page.
For a public group, tap Join. For a private group, tap Request to join — an admin will approve or decline.
Posting and chatting inside a group
Open the group from My Groups.
The Feed tab is for longer posts that stay around — share a track, ask a question, post a milestone.
The Chat tab is for real-time messaging with everyone in the group.
To post on the feed, tap the input at the top and write your message. Same flow as the main social feed.
Creating a group
From the Groups page, tap the Create group button (the + icon).
Choose a name, description, and privacy: public (anyone can join) or private (invite-only or request-to-join).
Optionally upload a header image and avatar so it's recognisable.
Once created, you're the owner. Tap Invite on the group page to add specific members.
Why it works this way
The community feed is broad, useful for discovery, but noisy if you want a real conversation with a smaller circle. Groups give you a private corner with the same posting and chat tools, scoped to people you've chosen to be around. Private groups also let you talk about unreleased work without it showing up in public feeds.
Common problems
The group page is stuck loading — Chat needs to connect before the group loads. Wait a few seconds; if it still won't open, refresh the page.
I tapped Join but nothing happened — Private groups need admin approval. Check back later, or message the owner directly.
I can't see the feed of a private group — Only members of a private group can read its feed. Join (or request to join) first.
I want to remove someone from my group — Open the group, tap the settings icon (owners and admins only), then manage members from the admin panel.
I can't create a group — Group creation is available on plans that include Community. Check your plan on Subscription.
